SCOOP! Two Syllable Card Game is a two - four player card game. It's a race to see who can read the most two syllable words before the other player gets the SCOOP!
This card game has 84 two syllable word cards and 4 SCOOP! cards. Players take turns choosing cards and reading the words. Watch out, though - if a player uncovers a SCOOP! card, s/he takes ALL of the other player's cards.
This game is great for centers, small groups, and RtI. Students will have fun while strengthening reading skills!
I created this version of the game because I needed to differentiate for my RtI groups and centers. My students had so much fun playing the Magic E version that I needed to create a similar version with a different skill. This set supports Task 9 of the Quick Phonics Screener. My other SCOOP! sets include digraphs, diphthongs, r controlled vowels, three syllable words, and CVC words.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I have been a teacher for 19 years. I started in 4th grade, moved to 5th, and then spent 10 years in 6th grade teaching math and social studies. I am now teaching 2nd grade. I've also taught math enrichment to grades 2-6, been a Math Coach, and received numerous grants and awards for technology integration.
