Wow, Katrina so sorry to hear you're having problems. I assure you there are no parts missing. Smart just updated their software. Be sure that you're running the most current version and that you have the most updated version of Adobe Flash as well. It will not open for me on my smartboard. I am sure it works and I don't want to leave bad feedback when I am sure it's a simple mistake. If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated. It keeps going to a notebook file and I cannot open them. Is there another way?

You need to have the actual Smart Notebook software to open and use it (not Promethean, Mimeo, etc.) You can download a free version at the Smart website :)

Hey there, I just responded to your feedback. I saw that first. Check to be sure you're running the most current version of the Notebook software and Adobe Flash. (This won't open through Active Inspire or Mimeo Software, it's specifically for Smartboards) See the feedback comment too. I want to be sure we fix this for you! :)

HI! I love this activity and would like to purchase it. However, in my classroom, we have a Promethean Board, which is another type of interactive white board, but it is not a SMARTboard. Do you think I would I still be able to use it?

I know there's a way to import Smart files into Promethean, but I'm not exactly sure how to do it. The file itself will work with your board as long as you have the Smart Notebook software. If you can't get that through your school, you can try this read-only version http://express.smarttech.com/#.
I have a few free Smartboard files, maybe try one of those first. Hope that helps!

Will you be modifying this Smartboard Food Pyramid to Food Plate? Has anyone else mentioned if there was a small error on it? I may be confused with another Smartboard activity I have, but I thought my students mentioned that one of the pages had an error. ;) Not a huge deal, but I thought I would just mention it! Oh, it just came to me....tomatoes are a fruit and you have it as a vegetable. There were a couple other foods that were also fruits, but listed as vegetables. Thanks much!

I do need to update to MyPlate for sure. It's on my list for this summer (which is growing by the minute!) I'll take a look at the other fruits/veggies too. You can edit those yourself if need be, I didn't lock any of that so you can make any changes you might need to make :)

I've been teaching for 17 years. I started out as a 5th grade drop-out prevention teacher and I am currently teaching 2nd grade gifted students.
