Along with presenter SMILEY FACE, you students will learn how graph coordinate points, how to decide the correct coordinate points when given a point on the graph, and how to find the correct destination when coordinate points are given. Students are given so much opportunity for guided practice and independent practice, that they are sure to master this standard. I thought this was so cute and engaging. One suggestion is a way to help students remember which axis is Y and which is X. I play "YMCA" and have the kids stand for the Y. We also sing a quick abc song to help them remember that X is listed first and Y is second.
