This is a powerpoint that introduces vocabulary words from the chapter book Sarah, Plain and Tall by Patricia MacLachlan. Each vocabulary word is given with the definition, the page number on which it is found, and a picture if possible. Then a Guess the Covered Word game follows. In this game a sentence is given with the vocabulary word left out. Students must use context clues to guess which vocabulary word goes in the blank. The next slide then shows the first letter of the word, so the students can adjust their guesses. The final slide then shows the correct vocabulary word in the sentence.
