This is a great set of scavenger hunts for various subject/life areas. It's too bad they come in a pdf which makes it difficult to alter (eg. make it work for your school library, or "Canadianize" it)

I am glad you like the hunts, but I am a little confused. The product comes in a zip folder with both PDF and the Word versions so that you can edit it. I did this because a teacher from South Africa had the same issue you do with the different spellings of some words. Did your download not come with both versions?

Thanks so much for the kind words and thank you especially for the comment about color - I just updated it a few weeks ago with color and have slowly been doing the same for all my resources, but have been a little worried that some teachers might think that the color is not printer friendly (even though it prints fine in grayscale), so I am glad you think it is an asset!

A great selection - I often use scavenger hunts and find these fill in the gaps in my own selection! I would have liked an apostrophe in April Fools Day in the Calendar Hunt. Also, I would have liked alternate pages with the word "color" spelt as "colour" which is the format we use in South Africa! The same goes for "favorite" which we spell "favourite" - minor things, I know, but frustrating as I will have to tippex them out and type in the correct spelling for my pupils!

Thanks so much for bringing the typo to my attention - that has been fixed. As for the alternative spellings, I have reloaded the document into a zip file with the Word version, so that you can easily edit it yourself. Hopefully, that solves your problem. You should be able to download the product again.

These are great! I have used them with a variety of age levels and they work really well. I particularly like the Dictionary one. Kids are so fast to look up a word on the computer that I think it is a value exercise to have them physically work their way through a dictionary.

I took a peek at the Newspaper one. I could see how you might say that as, to complete the hunt, you would probably need a paper from a major city that has such features as an advice column, TV guide, and crossword puzzle. However, since there is a Word version, you could alter it and still use it. I thought of revising it, but I think the specific questions are good.
