In this set of fun, hands-on science experiments, your students will make many discoveries about weather, think critically about their observations, and record their learning on response sheets.
Each of the 8 experiments provides a list of needed materials (many of which can be donated by students' families), plus student response sheets and explanations in kid-friendly language. If your students are keeping a science notebook, these pages could be added as a record of their learning. Several of the experiments include a page asking the students to "Think and Explain." This kind of writing will support the Common Core State Standards expectation for developing informative writing skills.

- Where do clouds come from?
- Why is the grass wet in the morning when it did not rain the night before?
- Where does rain come from?
- What is lightning and what makes it happen?
- What causes thunder and why is it so loud?
- Where do puddles go?
- Where do waves come from?
- Where does wind come from?
