Science Journal for Kinders - Weather

In my experience with our science core I found it a bit challenging to make sure I had covered each standard in depth and review was also difficult. As a result, a couple of years ago I created my own "Science Journal" that included all areas of my Utah State Core so that I could easily cover each and review them easily as well. This past school year I have tweaked it a bit to conform with the Common Core by incorporating more writing activities. I have found it very useful and have positive feedback from other teachers I have shared it with,

I have broken it up into six main categories: Day & Night, Non-Living Things 01 (Parts, Movement, and Rocks), Non-Living Things 02 (Water and Wind), Living Things (includes the Five Senses), Weather, and Seasons. I did this so, depending upon your state's core curriculum, you can pick and choose the areas that fit your needs best. I also did not number pages, so that you can use them in any order you wish or combine them with what you already use. I also have a student experiment section that we use in the back of our Science Journals. This section is used to record data from the experiments our classmates conduct. It is entitled "Scientist of the Week - Experiments for Little Scientists," if you would like to purchase it.

I have included student examples, pictures, and explanations of how each page is completed and how each experiment in conducted. As I make changes for my students, or if you have additional ideas, I will create, fix, and upload for you to re-download. (If you are like me, each year I always find something I�d like to change up.)
