It's all about stations!
The stations are the same each week; you just trade out materials for the concept you choose to teach or review.
Station 1- Read and Comprehend (one-page, low fluency, high level concept reading passage with summarization graphic organizer and sentence stems for students to complete)
Station 2- Exploration (hands-on activity to create a model or diagram)
Station 3- Organize It! (using a graphic organizer or diagram to help students organize abstract concepts in a concrete, visual way)
Station 4- Center Activity (hands-on activity to explore concept)
Station 5- Vocabulary (cut and paste matching of concept terms and definitions and a Vocabulary Four Square for one important term)

I teach second grade so some of the material was too advanced for my students, but it would be great for older students. I was able to adapt the activity on coal to meet my state's standards for natural resources in second grade.

I don't. I do have 3 centers for primary grades for living/nonliving, frog life cycle, and butterfly life cycle.
