This is a fun lab that uses all the steps of the scientific method. The students use a gummy bear and follow the steps of the scientific method and analyze the results.
My kiddos LOVED this experiment! They went home and tried all sorts of extensions based on this experiment(temp. of the water, type of liquid to put the gummi into etc.)

For Valentine's Day we are going to do this Experiment! I used it last year with my gr. 5/6 class and they were amazed at the results! And so was I! Thanks!
I will definitely be able to adapt this to fit my students.

I liked how you revamped this activity from Sciencespot; however, I feel you could make it better by saying: FORM a hypothesis and DRAW a conclusion. Also, change weight to MASS!!! I also prefer to have my students measure using centimeters.

Great activity to reinforce steps of scientific method.
A nice way to start science notebooks and inquiry at the beginning of the year. A good way to discuss the Scientific Method.

I'm sure the kids will love to do this. It's involves food, plus it's very intersesting to them.

It wasn't exactly what I thought it was before buying it, but with a few minor changes I was able to use it in my classroom. The kids loved this activity and I thought it was a cute way to show the steps of the Scientific Method.
