I started my teaching career at the age of 15 as a dance teacher; I taught dancers from 1 all the way to 91 years old. I truely caught the teaching bug when I completed high school work experience at my own elementary school. I started working as a teaching assistant to a 5th grade class at the age of 17. The greatest influence over my career came in this first year of working in a school environment. It was the realisation that children nowadays didn't seem enjoy school one millionth of how much I did when I was their age, that shocked and dissappointed me. Over the years I have been assigned the role of behavioural support to specific children with learning, behavioural and social issues leading to a job as support for an entire elementary schools behavioural and learning support needs. I have created resources and taught all subjects to all ages within the elementary curriculum. For thhe last 3 years I have been working as and English Teacher in Japan and for most of that 3 years, at an International Kindergarten where I am responsible for a class of 2 and 3 year old students. I teach them the equivalent of 1st grade American curriculum over all subjects. Once kindergarten is out I also teach EAL to students from the ages of 4 - adulthood.
