Scoop N' Phrase sentence building is the perfect fluency activity to reinforce the skill of phrasing during reading. Student will cut the phrase cards out and then put them together to create silly sentences. Don't forget to remind students to SCOOP the words into meaningful phrases when they read them!

I can hardly wait to see the silly sentences that come out when the kids start putting the parts of sentences together! This is a great way to show them visually which words in a sentence should be scooped (or phrased) together to build fluency. Thanks!

I hope your students enjoy the silly sentence-building as much as mine do! You can always have them glue down the phrases and draw in the scoop lines if they need to see it visually! I've found that helps. Enjoy!

The day I bought this I had just read an article on fluency that emphasizes the use of phrasing to increase fluency... wow... then I saw this on TpT and bought it instantly and had it in use 2 days later. I used it in small skill group instruction and it went very well!
