This is definitely a helpful rubric; my only suggestion is to align it to the 9-point AP rubric (or at least generally in categories like 9/8, 7/6, 5, 4/3, 2/1).

I have been working in public schools for nearly two decades. I started as an instructional aide in a special ed (RSP) English class, then moved to the challenging world of substitute teaching. For the past 12 years, I have taught all levels of high school English, grades 9-12, as a full time classroom teacher, most recently 11th grade (including special education) and Advanced Placement Literature and Composition.
