Vocabulary Spelling Words Practice Language
Scramble My Words is a fun game along the lines of those popular jumble word games. It is good practice for spelling and word recognition. It comes with an 85 compound word list, but you can create your own lists to practice with. The program is offered as freeware with no guarantees. The program is good exercise for the mind. Baggetta

It's a great idea. I even like the game, but I want to be able to put my own words in there for my students to unscramble. My only choice is the file attached of compound words. I couldn't find, at the baggetta site, any additional files that I might add to the game. I just don't see me using this product, as is, in my classroom. I was hoping for something more flexible.

Hi, Jgotaas. It's easy to create a list. Open the list that came with the program (it's in the C:Program Files/Scramble My Words/ folder) with a text editor or word processor (Windows Notepad will do). But notice that it has an .sp1 extender on the list. This is really a .txt file. Create your own list by putting the title at the top of the list and just the list of words below it. Tap Enter after each word. Save the list under your own name and then use the File menu to open your list. For example, here's a list of words for Car Parts:
Car Parts
Wheel
Wiper
Tire
Plate
Bumper
etc.
Save the file as Car Part.sp1
and you are ready to go.

Hello There,
recently bought your lesson plan, but could not unzip it. I have a mac and I sent an e-mail asking how to obtain this lesson, but was given a site to download a zip program which required that I submit personal information and credit card #. I choose not to submit my personal info or CC, is there a way for you to send me this lesson plan?

Hi, Morgan. Scramble My Words for Windows PC is only for PC. We do not have a Mac Version yet. The computer was probably suggesting that you download the demo version of WinZip which is free and good enough to unzip a Windows file -- no credit card is required. If you can't use the Windows version of the program you can drop a note to Paul on this site and ask for a refund. Hope this helps.
