(7 pages) This is a great activity to help students understand seasonal changes in sunlight/temperature. It emphasizes the importance of math skills when looking at things in a scientific way. For example, Earth tilting away from the sun during winter is nothing more than the same amount of sun energy spread over a larger area. This means less energy per unit area = lower temperature!
