Be a Common Core Superhero! Use this color coded checklist to document when you have taught to the second grade Common Core Standards.
Keep it with your lesson plans (or data notebook) so that you can write down when you have taught to the standard, or if you would rather, mark when you have assessed.
Also included is a cover page for you to write your name and year and cover pages for both Language Arts and Math.
(This is not a file where you can type or customize, but a file where you will print out the checklist.)
UPDATED 7/27-There is now a second set with a more "plain" font and also 2 duplicate sets with GIRL Superheroes! (But, please remember this is for ONE classroom teacher only!)

This will help me make sure I'm teaching all of the common core standards. Thank you!

Our state recently adopted the Common Core Standards. We had a meeting yesterday, and I showed my colleagues your CCS packets. They were elated that someone out there had already done the work for them! I'm sure they'll be purchasing their grade level checklists soon from the Teachers Pay Teachers website.
Ask Rulin' the Roost a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.

Is there a checklist for all areas....math, language arts, etc?
Yes-this includes math and language arts. It does not include science or social studies as there are not common core standards for those. I do have them separate too-which are labeled "half" and either math or LA.

Angela,
I bought your Common Core Checklists for grades K-4, but I am having some difficulty with the cover pages. When they print, the final "T" in checklist is creating a bold black line down the entire cover page. Would it be possible for you to email me the covers for K-4?
Hi! I'm away from my computer till next week. First, make sure you have an up to date version of adobe. Usually when this problem occurs, it's because of that. You could also try downloading it again. If it's still not working, click on the "contact" button on the side of the page to contact TPT. They are great at getting things to print correctly. Thanks and sorry you are having printing problems!!
I have been teaching since 2001. The first 2 years I spent teaching full day kindergarten. Since then I have been teaching wonderful little 6-7 year olds in first grade!
