Attention Texas teachers! These cards contain all the second grade reading TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) for the entire year. In the packet you will find one card for each TEK so that you can post TEKS as you work on them in the classroom. I refer to them as "goals" for my students. If you want your children to know exactly what they are learning and why it's important, these cards are excellent tools for that.
I've included two sets: one set with just the TEK in an "I can..." statement and one set with the TEK in an "I can..." statement plus a super cute ocean themed graphic. I'm working on the TEKS for math, science, writing and social studies. Please email me if you are interested in a set of cards for another grade level.
The original purchaser is granted permission to reproduce these pages in unlimited quantities for their OWN classroom use. Duplication for an entire grade level, school, school system or for commercial purposes is strictly forbidden. Hi! I am interested in purchasing this item! I think it will be great for my classroom. I couldn't tell from the preview....are the TEKS word for word simply adding "I can" or are they in more kid friendly language? Thanks!! :-)

Teachin Little Texans (TpT Seller)
They are the tek with an I can beginning in the most kid friendly way I could make them, still using the goal. Did you download the preview? I put an example of them in the previews. My students and I read them and with teacher support they get it. Some of them were real wordy so I tried to make them as simple as possible. :)
