This has been a long time coming and I have been thinking for months about creating phonics centers that serves as a companion to my 2nd Grade Word Work. I feel like I have been drawing at straws every week with my phonics instruction and I believe that those straws have all ran out. This may take some time, but it is my plan to create a mini-unit for each of the 28 units included in the 2nd Grade Word Work Program. So, if you enjoy these activities and feel that they are beneficial for your students, check back regularly to pick up the up and coming units.

I know you are headed into 3rd grade.... but I was wondering if you had finished or plan on finishing your word work centers for 2nd grade? I am going to use your word work packet to help me reorganize the "program" we have to use at school. I already use daily 5 but I would love to put your centers in with my word work station.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
Subject Area:
During my short teaching career, I have never stayed in one place too long! :) I've been teaching for six years - 4 years in 1st grade,1 year in 2nd, and have now moved on to 3rd grade just this year. Looping has presented many challenges, but I have enjoyed all of the wonderful experiences that this model of teaching can offer. I adore my job and am always looking for ways to improve my instruction in the classroom. I have quickly learned that when you make learning magical, that is when it truly sticks for the "long haul". I enjoy creating resources that bring learning to life in my classroom, and I am so excited to be able to offer a little piece of that to you here on TPT. Happy Teaching! :)
