These segmenting word pages can be used several different ways. They can be used for large group instruction, small group instruction, center activities, and progress monitoring. The papers can also be used as ten weeks of homework focusing on segmenting words. They will provide practice for skills included in the Dibels and Dibels Next assessments. This packet includes a set of sheets with directions and a set without directions. We did not add clipart to these activities because we felt it is best for the students to see the same kind of format that they will be seeing when assessed over this Dibels component. Even though we love "cute†clipart, we feel it is best to have less busy things for the students to look at when they are practicing their words.

We have fluency phrase cards listed on TPT now. These are cards with short (3-4 words) phrases that students can practice reading. The cards should help students by letting them practice quickly reading what they see. We do not have actual timed fluency stories listed right now. Hope this helps you.
