In honor of Earth Day and in the spirit of saving time, paper and ink this resource has been created to simply print, trim, glue and laminate in a file folder.
Placed in a Writing Workstation your young writers circle words with a vis-a-vis or whiteboard maker from columns of words to create a full sentence. After building their sentence and checking for accuracy, they can write their sentence in the space provided. Reading, creating, writing - simple as can be!
1. Print, trim, glue worksheets inside a standard folder.
2. Cut out the two labels for the front of the folder and the tab. (You can also cut and glue the Common Core Connection strip for an additional reference)
4. Place in a workstation with appropriate markers.
5. Let the reading and writing begin!
Common Core Connections: Conventions of English Language (L1a-e, L2a-b), Vocabulary Acquisition (L5a, 5b, 6), and Writing (2, 5, 7)
I would love to hear how I can make this work for you and your students, please leave suggestions and comments. -Cathy
