In the spirit of saving time, paper and ink this resource has been created to simply print, trim, glue and laminate in a file folder. No worries about missing pieces and easy cleanup and organization.
Placed in a Writing Workstation your young writers circle words with a vis-a-vis or whiteboard maker from columns of words to create a full sentence. After building their sentence and checking for accuracy, they can write their sentence in the space provided. Reading, creating, writing - simple as can be!
Directions:
1. Print, trim, glue worksheets inside a standard folder.
2. Cut out the two labels for the front of the folder and the tab.
3. Laminate.
4. Place in a workstation with appropriate markers.
5. Let the reading and writing begin!
Common Core Connections: Conventions of English Language (L1a-e, L2a-b), Vocabulary Acquisition (L5a, 5b, 6), and Writing (2, 5, 7)
I love to hear your feedback and ideas! Let me know how I can make this work for you and your students! :)
You are so welcome. THANKS to your for purchasing a few of these - I am so grateful. These are the most "loved" tasks in my writing center. The children giggle with delight as they reveal the silly sentences they create. This has been especially true for those "hesitant" writers. I hope you will be hearing those same giggles from your writers.
I think this one is my favorite -- love, love the pets. If you give me a category that you or your kids would like I will develop one dedicated to you and your class and of course you get it for FREE!!!!
You are so kind. My students LOVED these as well. It is the most "loved" and tattered item in the class. The good news - I can just print new ones when they are beyond recognition :D

Thanks for visiting my catalog, for the feedback and the purchases, I really appreciate it.
I had so much fun making this and the students LOVED it (evidence by the fact that within weeks it was tattered and used) -- but that is GOOD! I hope your students enjoy it.
Thanks for visiting my catalog, for the feedback and the purchase. I really appreciate it.
Cheers, :D

Like that the kiddos can get used to the process but the theme changes with your different sets.
Thanks for checking out my catalog and for the feedback. I am working on some additional folders - have some ideas for me? I would love to get some ideas from other teachers. I am thinking of doing one with dinosaurs, and another with the theme "If I were a Super Here ...", then something with bugs and of course end of school year and "Summer Fun ..." If you give me an idea and I make a folder, I would love to give it as a {freebie}. You can email me at cathyhink@gmail.com.
Ask Cathy's Collection a question. They will receive an automated email and will return to answer you as soon as possible.
