Do your students have trouble writing complete sentences? Do they write in fragments and run-ons? Perhaps they write in complete sentences, but their sentences are short and choppy. Sentence Go Round is a simple and fun cooperative learning strategy to teach students how to write longer, more complex sentences. It starts with a short review of fragments, run-ons, and complete sentences. Then students work with a team to expand short, basic sentences into longer, more interesting sentences.

I am a teacher of Croatian (Europe). I must say that it is not easy to find supplies of American teacher with a different curriculum, and it was effective teacher of Croatian language. What is the worth of your product are the ideas that has a very wide range of opportunity open to new ideas. Very useful and stimulating material.

This was a great break for my students. They were getting tired of reviewing for the standardized writing exam next week. I pulled this off my drive, printed and cut it up during my lunch break, and used it when they got back from lunch. They loved it. One of the other 4th grade teachers even had me do this activity with his students the next day. Thanks for a much needed review activity disguised as "fun."

I'm very confused. This comment was left on the Sentence Go Round activity, and I don't think it's listed as expository or narrative. It's for sentence writing practice only. My Thankful Writing activity is the only item listed as expository, and it's expository because students tell about what they are thankful for and the reasons why they are thankful. They are not writing a narrative Thanksgiving story.
