This is a fun way to teach iambic pentameter...especially if you (and your kids) are ok with getting a little silly. After going over the literature terms, I have the kids all stand up and act like pirates while speaking their line with emphasis (have them drag their "wooden" legs behind them if you dare). Then have them practice acting like vampires...promise they'll never forget iambic pentameter!!
