This is a set of 32 cards for sorting.
There are 4 shapes: circle, square, triangle, and hexagon
There are 4 LARGE and 4 SMALL of each shape. One of each is filled with solid red, solid yellow, patterned blue, and patterned green.
There are many ways to sort the cards!
These could be used to meet the Common Core Math Standard for kindergarten :
Measurement & Data:
3. Classify objects into given categories; count the numbers of objects
in each category and sort the categories by count.
You might not want to give students all 32 cards, so that the counts aren't the same for each category.
The borders are grayscale, so you don't kill a whole color ink cartridge! Print a few sets on cardstock, laminate, & use them forever. =)
