Your Kindergarten and First Grade kiddos will really enjoy these shapes centers! They could also be adapted to be whole group activities.
Included are three engaging actvities:
1) Shapes in a Penguin - You will need to prepare various shapes with which your students will assemble a penguin and draw the shapes they used. If you would like this personalized to a different theme, let me know and I can change the title.
2) Shapes Scavenger Hunt - Your kids can use this recording sheet to go on a hunt for shapes in your classroom.
3) Shape Sort - Use magazines to sort shapes!

I liked the ideas included in this little packet. I would have liked to have seen an example of the penguin idea. I know the students will design their own, but I like to have a visual as well.
