This download includes 193 pages of teacher instructions, resources, lesson plan templates, 45 Refrigerator Stories with corresponding at home writing prompts and related literature, and matching mini-books to use all year long in your classroom. The Shared Reading Using Refrigerator Stories and matching mini-books in this collection give young readers the opportunity to develop word recognition and sight word skills, while building vocabulary, confidence and fluency in reading. Additionally, teachers will be able to use the Refrigerator Stories as a teaching tool to model print conventions, intonation and expression, and early reading strategies. This resource builds a home-school connection by promoting parental involvement in their child's reading development (parent instruction letter included). Each week, the story is sent home and placed on the refrigerator. On the back of each story, there is a list of related literature and a writing prompt for the child to complete. Mini-books can be placed in student book boxes!
I forgot to leave feedback when I purchased this set two years ago! I love the entire set. Very practical! A+ in all aspects of the product!

Love this! My kinders learning sight words was amazing this year due to Wendy Hare's RStories. Over 50% were above the required 36 words by February, in spite of our sporatic and delayed guided reading program. And I haven't even done all the classroom activities suggested, yet. It is flexible too and will work around any existing list you may use. Great art, great price, worth double the money!
I just love this product! My students enjoy it as much as I do and parents are very happy too! They are able to do simple activities at home with their children to help them become better readers.

I really think i will use these. I do think that paying money for something you have to download yourself is a little deceiving. I guess I just misunderstood when I ordered. I thought this was a book I would be receiving in the mail.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:
I love your work and bought the 45 printable booklets and used them in my classroom but see that they are a part of this shared reading--any chance I could just buy part of this one? Do you have any options for me? I love the concept and am looking for the share reading poems but don't need the books, as I already purchased them. Thanks so much for considering!
I would be happy to offer you another $10 item if you purchase the shared reading using refrigerator stories to make up for the printable books from the set that you already purchased. Just email me and I will send you the $10 item directly once the other item has been purchased. Busyteacherprintables@gmail.com
I am not sure why you are not able to open the file. I have never had anyone have a problem downloading the document. Do you have Acrobat Reader to open a pdf file? Please email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org and I would be happy to send the file again, but it will still be in the PDF format.
