This is a packet to help guide children in using store ads, coupons, and understanding aspects of daily living. It incorporates adding of decimals, problem solving, decision making, and practicing money. This packet can be used independently or for collaborative learning. I personally bring in current ads and coupons from the newspapers, but there would be nothing wrong with doing that one time, laminating them and using the same ads and coupons for later.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I taught Title I reading intervention for 1st and 2nd graders for 8 years. I then became an intervention specialist in all content areas for 8th grade. This year, I am an intervention specialist in all content areas for 6th grade. I have also tutored different children ranging from 1st to 5th grade for the past ten years.
