This pack includes 3 games that will help teach your students the short -a sound.
Read/Write The Room:
Cards are placed around the classroom. Students walk around the room reading and writing words. Recording sheets are differentiated 4 ways.
I Have, Who Has:
Students work together to complete the chain by taking turns reading their cards.
Pick A Card:
Students take turns reading word cards. Action cards get students moving while practicing this reading skill!
If they choose a picture card, they must put all their cards back in the pile. This way, the game never ends. YOU choose when the game ends. No more "Miss, we're finished"!
Two spelling practice sheets are included in this pack.
Word cards can be used as flashcards, or for other activities such as sorting, memory, and reading practice.
