I use these Short Vowel word Cards in my Daily 5 Word Work Centeres and during Orton Gillingham Phonics Direct Instruction. There are 10 pages in this packet. Most of the words on these cards came from the manual for Orton but they can be adapted for any lesson or activity....they would be great for word family sorting and pasting. Although I have been teaching for 11 years, I have only used the Orton Gillingham program for 7 years. You could easily use these cards as part of any phonics instruction program. I have 5 sets of short vowel word cards listed.
