This Short i CVC Word Work Unit contains 9 Activities and Games to introduce or review the Short i CVC words including those with the patterns ig, it, ip, in, im and id.

Short i, Long i Word Sort - Cut out the words and identify the sound represented by i. Sort into Short i box or Long i box. Independent Activity

Roll and Write - Roll the dice onto the word sheet. The word it lands on is recorded and the number on the dice tells what to do with the word. Independent Activity

Read the Pigs and Draw - Move around the room to find the Pig Cards. Record the words on the cards and then draw pictures for the sentences that have been made.

Big Pig Make a Rhyme - Read the sentence and complete the rhyme with a word from a party hat. Independent Activity
