Do you need materials to help your students master short vowel sounds? This packet of materials may be the answer!!
This packet focuses on the short i vowel sound; there are many activities to provide students opportunities to read, write, and spell words with the short i vowel sound.
On four pages, students will practice reading short i words. Students will read the word in the box. They then cut out the pictures and glue the matching picture in the box.
On the next three pages, students will work on writing short i words, using the support of sound boxes. Students will segment the sounds in the short i word and write the letters in the sound boxes.
On the next three pages, students will write six short i words without the support of sound boxes. After writing the words, they will use one of the words to write a sentence.
The next 14 pages have reading passages to use in whole group instruction. They can be printed or projected for shared reading.
The last four pages feature a printable little book of the reading passages; these can be used in guided reading groups or for independent practice.
These packets are available to purchase for each individual short vowel sound; they are also bundled together in one file at a discounted price!! Click here for the bundled product:
