This useful chart can be used to show students the difference between showing details in their writing and telling about something. It lists examples of sentences where someone "tells" about something, then it shows how that sentence can be transformed into a "show" sentence, using more detail words.

Accuracy and Throughness would have been higher but you said the phone "range" instead of "rang." Good idea, but good thing I caught it before I passed it out to my kids or I'd be judged!
