Students Decorate a Journal to Display Everything About Their Personalities! This is like an "All About Me" project but in the decor on journal covers! It's fun, creative, and successful. This is a project my students do, and I even did it too...(Sample pic in product)!
This goes with any subject or grade that has any type of journal writing or literature response type writing. (It is Not limited to Language Arts!)
PDF File is 11 Pages, 9 of which are printables, 8 student handouts and 1 page contains a grading rubric for the Journal Requirements and Oral Presentation of Journal!
Student Handouts also come with a Sample Journal Picture, Step by Step Instructions with Diagrams, A Suggestion List for Journal Decor, and requirements
Complete with instructions to make a journal or doing this project with a binder.
The entire point to the homemade journal is for students to think about what makes them "UNIQUE!" AND---to have a personalized journal to write in all year long!

Thanks so much, Ruth! They enjoy doing them. I do it with them..they get a kick out of that. It's an EASY first ORAL presentation. They don't have to rehearse much when they talk about themselves!! lol.. me either! Thanks for writing!!

Most of my career spent in 7th - 8th grade English Language Arts; I've been in middle school for 8+ years. Taught 1 year each in K, 2nd, 5th Each has it's perks. I apparently enjoy the upper grades since I quickly moved up levels. I'm completing my 12th year with the end of this school year 2012-13...
