These sight word cootie catchers are a fun alternative to flash cards! Give your students a chance to practice reading their sight words in a way that is sure to grab their attention.
Grab all of the Dolch Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, and Third Grade words for free!
This item is available in color and in black and white! It also includes directions (with pictures) for how to fold the cootie catcher!
It addresses the common core standards CCS:K.RF.3c, CCS:K.RF.3d, CCS:1.RF.3g, CCS:2.RF.3F, and CCS:3.RF.3d!
This is fabulous, I know the kids will love it.
Suggestion instead of putting letters and numbers on the first two levels, put more dolch words on it, so you bet more practice saying more words, maybe start with easier words and each level goes to little harder words.
It is awesome, can't wait to use it in the classroom. Thanks so much
oh my goodness this is the most amazing free download. Can't wait to share these with my 2nd graders tomorrow. I'm a special ed/resource teacher and always looking for fun ways to practice sight words and everything else! Cootie Catchers are a great idea!
Thank you! This looks like a lot more fun than the flash cards I've been using!

Thanks, in my special ed room I have 3rd and 4th graders still working on 1st grade sight words. This is a more appealing way for them to study then using flashcards!

I thought I saw that the Cootie Catchers were a freebie. but when I go to the TpT store it says that they are $5.00.Am I doing something wrong ? Thanks !
They were a freebie initially, but due to the length of the product I switched them over to a paid item. Sorry for any confusion this caused!

Im having trouble with the download.. it will only download up to about 2 megabytes.. and of course it says that the file is damaged and can not be repaired.. any ideas on whats going on?
That's so bizarre! I just downloaded it and it didn't give me a message. What is your email address so I can email it to you? Perhaps that will help it download properly...

When I orderped the two CVC Uno games, TPT told me that my order had a duplicate item. That is why I wrote you.
I will review the Wilson concepts and get back to you. Thank you.
Thanks so much! My kids have been asking me to make these non-stop, and now they will actually be for an educational purpose so I don't mind! One question though, would it be possible for you to make a blank template, so that they can be personalized with specific words that each student needs to work on?
