This pack contains 30 take-home sight word lists. Each list has 10 words for a total of 300 sight words. Students practice and review one list at a time at home, and return the list to school when they are ready to be tested. The teacher, a parent volunteer, or upper grade peer tutors can meet with the students on an individual basis. After reading the sight words fluently from the list, the student receives the next one. Students will work at their own pace to ensure success.
*This download is a zipped file which includes an editable template.
Included in this pack are student grids for tracking progress, flashcards that correspond with each list, letters to parents to explain the program, and awards for celebrating completion of the program.
Last, a challenge extension is offered.

These are wonderful! I would like to edit for my own words though. I see the editable powerpoint file but don't know how to add my words. I just wanted to use your list and change a few things. Is that possible?
Thank you for your purchase! All you have to do is add your own textboxes on top of the editable template. Then you can type your words into the textbox. Unfortunately, each page is not editable at this time. If you have any further questions or need any help, please email me at ateenytinyteacher@yahoo.com Thank you! :)

I can't wait to use this product in the classroom. How exciting! Thanks :)
Just what I have always wanted to do but never took the time to create! Thank you! I would like to know more about the assessment so that I know where to start my kiddos. Thanks!!
Overall this is a great packet!! I wish the packet had an assessment piece to it. For example: a first assessment to determine which list each student should start with.

I made a set of these when I taught 1st grade and worked a long time over the summer to make them. These are wonderful for my Kindergarten class. I have already started and the students are excited.
This is something I've wanted to create for a long time, so I appreciate that you have done it for me!

Fantastic resource- thank you for putting this together. My kiddos are so motivated to complete these word lists each night; most bring them in daily! I have seen such progress in reading due to these.

Hi there! Actually, this pack contains all the words from all the lists in K-2 in my district. Lists 1-5 are Kinder, Lists 6-15 are First, and Lists 16-30 are Second. Our District chose a compilation of words from Fry, Dolch, and our Houghton Mifflin curriculum.
I hope this helps!
Thank you!

How did you decide what words to use? Dolch? Your district words? Thanks!
These sight words were given to me by my district. But upon doing some research, I have discovered that they are combination of Fry, Dolch, and any other sight word list you can think of. I hope that helps!
Thank you for your interest. :)
