Use these motions to teach your students sight words! Students will have higher engagement and remember the words quicker as they connect them with a physical movement! Say each word and do the motion three time! Remember it takes 18 times of staying something to learn it, so say them often!

(Please note, the set does not include the cards with the hands on them. Many of the motions are made up so they match the meaning of the word. Many are also sign language, which would be impossible to find the exact signs in clipart that have commercial rights to them. Also, we want the kids to learn the words and cue the motion from the words and not the picture of the sign. The picture of the hand was included just as a visual for what you and the kids will be doing.)

Thank you so much for sharing! I completely agree that motions and actions can help the kids remember things so much easier. Can't wait to try these out. What I may do is try to take pictures of the kids doing the actions to hang up around the room. Thanks again!

I agree, but unfortunately with as many word as it is this would be impossible. I am sure you are aware as a TpT seller I can't just copy the sign language from the Internet and many are just made up so it would be having custom graphics and lots of them! Thanks for stopping by!

Not just the brain stores information for us - you're right, motions for sight words should have been used for years - but now you've helped make the teaching world better! Thanks so much! I have taught for 9 years. Most has been in low-income areas and with second language learners. I have taught Kindergarten, 3rd, 4th, and technology. Kinder is where my heart is! I have also taught at the National I Teach Kindergarten conference in Las Vegas! I would say that was the highlight of my career, but how can you surpass teaching kids to read? =)
