Please note: the cubes are not to scale. In order to get all the letters to all the words to fit many words would extend onto two pages greatly increasing prep time. Also, the letters are formed with square blocks and some letters are round. That being said, not all letters look exact. They are identifiable but some are not exact... For example the letter 0 is a square because it would be impossible to make a circle with blocks. :-)

Unfortunately not. In order to make editable products we have to save each slide as a jpeg, then re-upload it page by page into Powerpoint. It would be MUCH easier to just give you a freebie to type on. OH... there's an idea. I will will put a freebie on my blog that you can edit! Thanks for the idea. give me about a week! Hi - I love the concept of this product. I was planning to print the mat on card stock, then laminate and use as a learning mat. However, the words are too small and need to be enlarged. It is inconvenient to do this final step. I was hoping that the product would teacher ready. A little disappointed.

The words are purposely made not to scale that way the kids have to count and plan how to make the letters. That's what makes it a reading and math activity! The cards can very easily be printed on card stock and sliced. I am not quite sure how you are envisioning this product work in such a way that what I've provided you will not work. Samples of the product are also listed in the JPEG files and what the samples listed are what you got. I am sorry you feel that way. But I am not exactly sure how to make this better for you. Maybe my Lego sight words would work better for you? Those are made to scale, because you could use different Lycos to make the same letters. Unfortunately this can not be updated to scale. I could only fit about 3 letters per page and most words are more than 3 letters. I am very sorry. I did try for you all when I updated the alphabet set. Start with the alphabet with the kids and they will have an easier time with the words. I am also updating my monthly sets to scale. This is awesome! I have thought about doing this with my cubes, but haven't tried it yet. I love the idea of having cards to look at. I've had my students do this with Legos as well, but it's sometimes hard for them because I've never made any models for them to look at. Do you have anything like this with Legos, or, do you have the capability to make something like this with Legos?

Oh no I don't. I am so sorry. I would say maybe just a small set woul work for a center. Well depending on which set you get, the sight words are going to take more snap cubes than just the letters. Maybe try eBay for some Cheap ones.

Do you think the snap cube words template will work with any kind of snap cubes or do they have have to be a specific kind?

As long as they are the kind that have the holes one more than one side you should be fine. They will not work with unifix cubes because those can only go in straight lines. Make sense? You need to be able to make right angles. Hope that helps.
