Each week I send 1-3 sight word flashcards home with students to review/practice with their family. I also make a second set which I keep in class. As I introduce words, word cards are added to the students word wheel. Word Wheels are simply made by punching a hole in the upper left hand corner of each word, then placing a large book ring through the hole. I put the childs name on the front which also marks the beginning point of the wheel.
Word Wheels remain in the classroom until the last day of school when I send them home for summer review.
During the year students read their word wheels and write their words on the I Can Read page which I cold laminate. This makes a great transition, morning meeting, or Im done review activity.
Run on bright cardstock.
If you need different words, please email me and I'll happily modify this for you.
