This checklist has 46 basic 2nd grade sight words. The checklist has spaces for 1st and 2nd try, as well as, a small space for notes. There are two checklists on each page as to save paper. Simply cut the paper vertically and assess your student. This is a great tool for monitoring students' progress on sight word reading and can give a snapshot of what words need additional work. I saw your posting on the Sellers Forum page of Teachers Pay Teachers; so, I thought I would look at your freebie. Welcom to the TPT world. You will love it here.
I have a few suggestions that might help you to better market your products. First, create a cover page which can then be used as an attractive thumbnail to entice buyers. Add a second page which is a directions or suggestions page. List several ways you use this product in your classroom. Never assume that a buyer knows how, why, or when to use your product. Use the footer to put the copyright symbol, your name and date of creation on EVERY page. Items, especially free ones, have been "stolen" from TPT and posted on other sites to be sold. You have to protect all of your creations. Also, number your pages. You might think about adding some color and clipart to your products. Buyers tend to like that.
Since you teach in the primary grades, I’d appreciate your input on my freebie listed below. I like to get suggestions and feedback from a variety of teachers.
I have been teaching for 10 years. I taught 3 of those years in the Chicago area. I am now teaching in the very school that I attended as an elementary and high school student. It is exciting to be teaching the children of old classmates!
