Silent Magic is a phonics memory matching game designed to reinforce the Silent E rule in a fun, hands-on activity. Students match words with short-vowel phonograms to the VCe counterpart. (Examples: hug/huge, mad/made)
The electronic download includes two sets of 24 cards. Each set contains 12 different short-vowel phonogram words (VC) and their long-vowel (VCe) matches. The combined sets contain 22 different short-vowel phonograms and 22 different long-vowel VCe phonograms. (Two phonograms are repeated from Set 1 in Set 2.)
I am dedicated to the goal of trying to make phonics more fun. I create phonics games under the pen name Phonics Advantage.
