This investigation journal is designed to supplement a unit on simple machines, or to be a stand-alone theme unit. It contains investigations and experiments related to each of the 6 simple machines. Following each experiment is a worksheet in which students record observations, results, and conclusions. Also contains a title page, glossary, and summary sheet. The pages are designed to be reproduced for each student or lab pair and compiled into an investigation journal or notebook. 15 pages. Created by Rebecca Bettis, 2007.
Simple and clear to use. The font was difficult for visually impaired students but the experiments and log were good.

My kids loved this! It was easy to follow for them and for me. All of their notes were kept in one place, which is always helpful. The activities were fun and taught the necessary skill, along with the chart skills. EXCELLENT! Thanks!

Help
I have been a special education teacher since 1998. I currently teach a self-contained cross categorical class of 3rd through 5th graders. I have also taught k-6 resource classes and self-contained classes in the past. I currently teach in North Carolina, but I taught for 4 years in Texas.
