Simple saying, silly stories writing activity
Common Core Writing Standards 3, 4, and 5
This is a 1-page document that is intended to have your students interpret the saying "Blind in one eye, can't see out of the other".
This writing activity will have students:
-Explain what the saying means
-Use the saying in a short story (of course the story can be a bit silly)
-Draw a picture that illustrates how the saying was used in their story
A grading rubric is included (sentence structure, conventions, requirements, and picture).
As a teacher, you will need to let your students know about your own requirements for the story (length, sentence structure, etc.).
