This set of writing posters for the primary classroom will help students focus on the 6 traits of writing: ideas, organization, voice, conventions, sentence fluency, and word choice. Along with the six traits there are the three types of writing: narrative, informative/explanatory, and persuasive writing. Each poster gives a description of the type of writing. These writing types are common core aligned.

TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I started my career in teaching in the second grade. I taught second grade for four years. I moved to teaching fourth grade. While teaching 4th grade, I got my Masters in Reading and I currently am an Intervention Specialist. I primarily assist at-risk students in reading. I also provide additional assistance to students in math as well.
