This lesson is based on South Carolina State Standards about the civilizations in Ghana, Mali, and Songhai. The three of them come at the beginning of the 4th grade standards. This lesson includes notes I used in class as well as a review at the end of the lesson using the interactivity of the Smart Board. The lesson also includes several maps as well as pictures of the life in the civilizations.
