Snowman Weather is here! Bring that snowman into your classroom for a creative writing project. This snowman writing project is a great way for students to experience six different genres of writing. persuasive (Friendly Letter, persuade teacher to allow snowman contest)
poetry (diamante, comparing a snowman to a scarecrow)
informative (Missing Snowman flyer)
Informative (Nonfiction book report), including notecards from actual nonfiction book about the Abominable Snowman.
The Snowman Genre Project includes:
-Six student-friendly directions pages with writing process check lists
-a selection of 6 different graphic organizers, choose the one you want for each genre
-a final writing paper to match each genre with 2 sizes of line spacing (double and 1 ½).
-6 cover designs for a Snowman writing book.
-About the Author page, students can glue a picture of themselves on the snowman head.
