This game is a fun, easy way to help your students practice numbers 11-20 and to practice subitizing those numbers on a ten frame. It would be super easy to add as a math center for a group of 2-4 students. To play, students will begin with all cards face down.
The first player will turn two cards over,
trying to match the numeral with the
matching 10 frame. If the cards are not a
match, the player turns them back over.
Play continues until all matches have been
made.
**These numeral cards can also be used in an alternate whole group game in which the cards are lined up on a pocket chart and the snowflake card is hidden behind a snowman number. The teacher gives clues (behind the number that is 4 more than 10, etc.) and the students guess which number the snowflake is behind.
