This social studies SmartBoard Lesson is designed to be used as a teaching tool to help guide your instruction as you teach about creating and reading a timeline. This lesson has 6 slides which contain many opportunities for students to practice reading a timeline. Slide 3 should be modified to fit the biography of the teacher. I use this slide to help my class see how to create a timeline. It meets the Georgia Performance Standards (GPS) for 3rd grade social studies.
