This unit contains:
Soft Kitty Compound Concentration: Copy cards on cardstock, there is a color version and black and white version(could be copied on colored cardstock, would still be colorful, but just black and white ink), cut out cards and laminate.
Place the cards face down in front of players, can be up to 3 players, students choose a card and read the word, they then choose a second card and read the word. If the words make a compound word, the player keeps the cards and play continues with the next player. When all the cards have been matched to make compound words, the player with the most cards wins the game!
After the game, students then choose 12 of the compound words and write them on the recording sheet provided.
More Kitty Compounds: Students choose a word from Kitty A and a word from Kitty B and make a compound word.
Kitty Bowl Puzzle: Copy puzzle cards on cardstock, there is a color version and a black and white version, laminate and cut out cards. Students then put the puzzle pieces together to make a compound word. After they have put the puzzle pieces together, students will then record their compound words on the recording sheet provided.
