This arts integrated math and visual art lesson is a great way to promote critical thinking. Students will learn about American artist Sol LeWitt. Students work in pairs to complete an art piece based on a set of "directions" that require them to multiply fractions, apply measurement skills, and utilize knowledge of geometrical concepts. Minor adjusts, make it easy to diversify instruction with this lesson. Included you will have the powerpoint, detailed lesson plan, and grading rubric.
