How I use this unit:
I teach science twice a week for 30 minutes and break it up like this:

Lesson 1- Moon KWL. Show a variety of pictures.
Lesson 2- Crater labs. I split the class in half and have them work in groups.
Lesson 3- Phases of the Moon overview.
Lesson 4- Phases of the Moon flip book.
Lesson 5- Layers of the Earth dessert and graphing.
Lesson 6- Constellations. Show pictures and have students make their own using black paper and a white crayon.
Lesson 7- The planets and their order from the Sun.
Lesson 8- Students design their lap book cover.
Lesson 9 and on- Each lesson we learn about a new planet and the students add information to their planet lap book.
