Solar System Webquest. Fun webquest is to find out information about our solar system: the sun, the eight planets ( Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune), and other celestial objects like dwarf planets (Pluto, Ceres, etc.) , meteroids, asteroids, and comets. Students will look up information on planet size, features and atmospheres, distance from the sun, and ability to support life. Students will also find out about our galaxy, our universe, and constellations. Vocabulary includes light year, parsec, astronomical unit. Links to websites and chart to complete included. I liked this activity, but it was too difficult for my fifth graders. Also, the font was very hard to read. I will be breaking it into smaller chunks and going from there!

I am sorry you had trouble finding information. I spent a lot of time making sure the answers to the questions could be found on the websites given. In fact, that is how I made the key, and I think I was able to find everything this past fall. However, websites are always changing, so I will check and make sure everything is up to date. I have a total of 21 years teaching experience. After I received my M.Ed. from the University of Florida, I began teaching in elementary school, where I taught pull-out remedial classes for grades 2-5 and a section of K-1. Then I taught Pre-K for 5 years, before I decided to go up to Middle School, where I have been in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I am currently teaching 7th grade where I seem to have found my niche. I am certified in Elementary Education as well as in Middle Grades in the areas of Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. I am also certified as a Teacher Support Specialist. I have an endorsement as a Reading Specialist K-12, and I also completed my Gifted and Talented Endorsement.
